I (Almost) Want to Eat It

I love the products from Product Body. Although I've only made one post about the company so far, I've tried nearly all the products and love almost all of them.

Product Body's Whipped Shea Butter is made from pure shea butter. I had never encountered pure shea butter before, so I was surprised by how dense it is (instead of being creamy, the way most moisturizers are). It has to be sort of dug out of the jar, but it melts in your hands. Once applied, it feels light, but it is extremely moisturizing. I used it all last winter (NYC radiators = extremely dry air) with fantastic results.

As with all of the Product Body line, the scents are wonderful. In general I hate scented beauty products. Most of the time I don't like the given scent (or it smells synthetic, which is worse), and I like to be able to smell my perfume. All of the scents used in Product Body products, however, are natural essential oils, and they smell good. Real. My personal favorite is Lemon Essential (so crisp and clean!).

The one downside is the price. It's $16 for a 1.2 oz jar, and the little jar lasts me about two and a half weeks. Maybe I apply more than other people/or too much every night, but that's a bit rich for my budget on a regular basis. So I keep it around for days when my skin is unusually dry. (Like when I forget to wear gloves when removing dark-colored nail polish -- which takes a looong time to come off -- and my fingertips are super dry.)

This is a really effective product -- you'll try it and you'll love it!

(Whipped Shea Butter available in 4 scents, $16 for 1.2 oz.)
